The Prospect
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will advise the business across the full breadth of its legal needs with genuine autonomy, embedding the legal framework and delivering training to staff on relevant legal and commercial topics. This is a hands-on senior role in a lean team, with carriage of business-critical matters and advice that lands directly with decision-makers.

Responsibilities
Advise across commercial, corporate governance, regulatory and compliance matters
Lead negotiation of complex procurement, supply and services agreements
Run business-critical transactions, key projects and complex disputes
Advise on the full employment spectrum, from contracts and policies to investigations, terminations and restraints
Drive WHS governance and framework uplift across both jurisdictions
Support M&A; and post-acquisition integration
Review advertising,
marketing and education materials against laws and industry codes
Design and deliver legal training across the region
Partner with Compliance and HR to embed a strong compliance culture
Requirements
Law degree and an Australian Practising Certificate (or eligibility)
7+ years' PQE gained at a reputable law firm; in-house or secondment experience highly regarded
Deep expertise negotiating contracts and leading complex commercial transactions
Exposure to employment law, M&A;, WHS, advertising or therapeutic goods regulation highly regarded
Healthcare and life sciences experience, in-house or in practice, highly regarded
Commercial acumen, sound independent judgement and a collaborative, mentoring style
