The Junction GP is seeking a
Registered Nurse - General Practice
to join our healthcare team on a
part-time basis
. This is an excellent opportunity to provide essential nursing support within a community-focused general practice setting in The Junction, NSW ****. As a Registered Nurse in General Practice, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting GPs, and contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of our local community. This position offers the flexibility of part-time work whilst making a meaningful impact in primary healthcare delivery.
Key responsibilities
Providing direct patient care under the direction of GPs, including wound management, dressings, injections, and immunisations
Taking patient health histories and vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate)
Performing routine clinical procedures and assisting with minor surgical procedures
Supporting chronic disease management programmes, including diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory conditions
Conducting health screening and preventative health assessments
Administering medications as prescribed by medical practitioners
Maintaining accurate and timely patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements
Providing patient education and health promotion advice
Ensuring infection control protocols and clinical governance standards are maintained
Collaborating effectively with GPs and other members of the healthcare team to optimise patient outcomes
What we're looking for
Current registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience in general practice nursing or primary healthcare settings
Strong clinical assessment and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse patient populations
Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice standards and evidence-based care delivery




Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to maintaining professional development and staying current with clinical guidelines
Proficiency in using electronic medical records and practice management systems
Immunisation provider certification
Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance or ability to obtain
Preferred experience in wound care, chronic disease management, or preventative health programmes
Preferred qualifications and recent practice in venepuncture and cannulation
