We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead Langlands Restaurant & Bar. This is a rare opportunity to join a growing and increasingly recognised destination in Melbourne's dining scene.
You will lead, coach, and develop a team of hospitality professionals while driving exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
As Venue Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the guest experience, fostering a solid team culture, and contributing to the ongoing success of a venue recognised for its quality and consistency. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations and service delivery
Manage rostering, staffing levels, and inventory control
Lead, coach, and motivate the team on the floor
Drive beverage knowledge within the team, coaching staff to confidently recommend beverages - developing a "junior sommelier" mindset across the floor
Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing team development
Collaborate closely with culinary, events, and hotel teams to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications
About you:
Minimum 5 years managerial experience in a premium restaurants or hotel establishments and 10+ years hospitality experience
A confident, hands-on leader who enjoys developing and empowering others
Passion for food and beverage and guest experience, with strong wine knowledge
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Solid understanding of restaurant operations, rostering, and business performance




Professional, proactive, and confident making decisions under pressure
Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
