Radiology Victoria in Richmond is expanding our team and seeking a motivated and dedicated
Medical Imaging Assistant
to join us on a part-time basis.
As one of our valued Medical Imaging Assistants, you will quickly become an integral part of our team where you will be proud to provide high-quality radiology services and care to our patients and referrers. You will work under direct supervision to assist radiographers, nurses, and radiologists in daily operational activities, ensuring smooth patient transitions and workflow.
Located within Epworth Hospital - Richmond, Radiology Victoria provides care to inpatients and outpatients across all modalities, including CT, MRI, Digital X-ray, Digital Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Theatre. We also have a dedicated 24-hour Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Support:
Prepare and position patients for X-ray and CT procedures under direct supervision. Coordinate patient workflow, manage transitions between waiting areas, cubicles, and exam rooms, and ensure patient comfort and safety at all times.
Clinical Assistance:
Assist in patient transfers using safe manual handling practices. Conduct ECG procedures and safely remove cannulas following CT scans after appropriate training and assessment.
Operational Excellence:
Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms and imaging equipment. Stock and organize necessary medical supplies and consumables. Comply with infection control procedures, radiation safety guidelines, and clinic protocols.
Administration & Data:
Assist with patient registration,
scheduling, data entry, and handle digital imaging data and PACS system tasks under supervision.

Candidates currently studying a radiation science degree or another science based degree are highly desirable.
