Role Details
Perilya's Broken Hill Mine is looking for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our Technical Services team and play a key role in the safe and efficient development of our underground operation.
What You'll Be Doing
Conduct underground inspections, mapping, and monitoring to assess ground conditions.
Perform stope, pillar, and slope stability analyses.




Provide geotechnical input into mine design and production plans.
Implement and maintain ground support standards and systems.
Analyse and report on monitoring data, identifying potential geotechnical risks.
Support geotechnical projects, such as instrumentation, backfill, and stope design.
Engage with operational teams to ensure ground control practices are understood and applied.
What You Will Bring
Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering.
Experience in underground mining geotechnical engineering (graduates with solid exposure to geotechnical work will be considered).
Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive approach to safety and risk management.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
