About therole:
The Pharmacy Purchasing Officeris responsible forcoordinating thetimely,accurateand cost-effective procurement of medicines, pharmacyproductsand related goods to support safe andcontinuouspatient care across Western Health.
Key responsibilities:
Ordering daily for the pharmacy department: This includestwicedaily re-order replenishment orders and otherdaily adhoc order requestsfrompharmacistsandSatellitelocations.
Coordinate purchasing, product and inventory management activities.
Liaiseand coordinatewith suppliers, pharmacy technicians, stores techniciansand pharmacists in relation to incoming ordersor changes to stockavailability.
Ensure thatappropriate productlevels aremaintainedand storedin accordance withlegislative requirements.

Have prior purchasing and/or stores experience.
Need excellent communication, interpersonal and information technology skills.
Have strong problem solving and time management skills.
