About the Team
The Clinical Trials Pharmacy team provides services to The Alfred, Caulfield Hospital, Sandringham Hospital and Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. The service is managed by Positive Clinical Practice (GCP) trained, experienced pharmacists and techniciansand currently supportsnearly 400drug trials across all phases of drug development.Our team has a unique combination of clinical trialexpertisecoupled with strong education and research skills.
This combination meanswe'vebeenable to develop a pharmacy clinical trial credentialing program that brings togetherevidenced-based adult learning principles with contemporary service delivery thatdoesn'texist anywhere else within pharmacy in Australia.
About the Role
We areseekinga motivatedand enthusiastic pharmacist to join our clinical trialsteam asSenior Pharmacistfull timepermanent position. To be successful in this role, you will have a passion foradvancing patient care and being at the forefront ofclinical research, innovation and the safe delivery of investigational therapies that shape the future of medicine. You will work as part of the broader clinical trials team, closely collaborating with the Lead Pharmacistand other SeniorClinicalTrials pharmacists, as well as with the broader Pharmacy Operations team and aseptic suite to deliver excellent patientoutcomes. Qualifications/Experience
Registered pharmacist in Australia with general pharmacy registration with AHPRA
Relevant experience in a Clinical Trials setting essential, including an understanding of processes and workflows from both an operational and clinical perspective
Post graduate qualification in pharmacy, particularly with a research component highly desirable
Recognised subject matter expertise within profession and or Advanced Practice Portfolio in the specialty highly desirable
Experience in supervision and mentoring staff a must
Demonstrated experience in distribution, clinical and aseptic preparation services an advantage
Haematology and/or oncology clinical experience highly desirable
