Aboutthe roleand team
We have anopportunity for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join ourhighly regarded Property & Projects team, to be based in our Sydneyoffice.
This rolewill involve genuine breadth working with leading partners acrossour sectors of focus including social infrastructure, renewableenergy projects, property funds and the public sector. This mayinclude:
assisting on the landassembly components of renewable energy transactions, includingland access agreements, easements and options for solar, wind,and battery storage projects;
workingwith our HW Funds team on acquisitions, disposals and duediligence;
advisingcommunity housing providers and other industry participants ondevelopment agreements, funding arrangements and projectdelivery models; and
supporting our publicsector clients at both state and Commonwealth level with theirdiverse property needs.

Our Property& Projects team is made up of approximately 120 people nationallyand you will have the support of the broader team in deliveringexcellent service to our clients.
We areseeking a motivated Senior Associate or Special Counsel eager tobuild a practice and work in a genuinely collaborative teamenvironment that offers the opportunity to work on an interestingand varied range of projects and property matters. The partners inthe team are well-regarded leaders with an excellent track recordof developing the skills of team members. Aboutyou
You willideally have the following skills and experience:
at least5 years of post-admission experience as a real estate and/orprojects lawyer at a reputable mid to large sizefirm;
experience in (or astrong desire to gain experience in) one or more of our sectorfocuses of social infrastructure, energy and renewables orproperty funds;
a strongcommitment to outstanding client service and the ability tobuild and manage client relationships;
theability to think laterally about how best to achieve commercialsolutions for our clients;
experience mentoringjunior lawyers;
theability to handle the demands of working for multiple partnersacross jurisdictions as required;
theability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
excellent technical,analytical and drafting skills with keen attention to detail;and
