Roundtree Search is partnering with a well-established Australian non-bank lender to appoint an Associate Director - Origination, within a growing Development Finance platform. The role has a national scope.
This is a high-impact position suited to an experienced development finance professional with a developer and broker network, strong commercial judgement, and a proven ability to originate and convert complex construction lending opportunities. Typical transactions will range from $10 - $50m in size but can be larger.
The Chance
Reporting to the Head of Development Finance, you will be responsible for originating, assessing and executing property development finance transactions across residential, mixed-use and boutique commercial projects. The role combines relationship-led origination with hands‐on deal assessment and internal execution support.
Key Responsibilities
Originate new development finance opportunities aligned to credit mandate
Build and manage relationships with developers, brokers, consultants and landowners
Conduct high-level feasibility analysis (GRV, pre-sales, QS, cash flows)




Structure senior, stretch‐senior, land and residual stock facilities
Lead transactions from enquiry through to settlement in collaboration with credit, legal and risk teams
Maintain post-settlement relationships to support repeat business and pipeline growth
Background & Experience
7+ years' experience in development finance, private credit, non-bank lending or CRE banking
Demonstrated track record originating and closing development finance transactions
Strong understanding of Australian construction markets, DA/CDC processes and valuation methodologies
Established NSW development and broker network
Commercial, disciplined approach to credit and structuring
