Quality work done well is invisible and that's exactly the point. Policies that are current. Registers that are accurate. Audit processes that run smoothly because the groundwork was laid properly. In a care organisation operating across disability, aged care, child and family services and community nursing, the stakes of getting it wrong are high and the value of getting it right is felt across the entire organisation.
This role is the reason it stays right.
As our Quality Officer, you'll maintain and monitor the systems, documentation and registers that keep Kanda compliant, audit-ready and continuously improving. You'll work across internal teams, support accreditation processes and contribute to a quality function that takes its responsibility to the people we serve seriously.
What you'll be doing
Maintaining and monitoring Kanda's Quality Management systems and registers - including the Compliance, Continuous Improvement, Feedback and Complaints, Legislation and Quality Documentation registers - so they're always current and accurate
Ensuring policies, procedures and work instructions remain compliant with legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards
Supporting teams across the organisation to prepare for external accreditation and audit processes - so nothing is left to the last minute
Coordinating and undertaking internal compliance audits in collaboration with operational departments
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and risk management activities that strengthen how we operate
You're the right person if...
You have experience in a quality, compliance or administration role and you understand what good quality systems actually look like in practice
You have strong written communication skills - preparing policies,
procedures and reports is work you do well and take pride in
You're highly organised, detail-oriented and the kind of person who notices when something is out of date before anyone else does
You have intermediate to strong computer skills across Microsoft Office and web-based platforms
Experience within Child Safety, NDIS or Aged Care is a genuine advantage - but a robust quality and compliance background from another regulated sector will be considered
You hold or are willing to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card
