About the Role An exciting chance exists with this joint appointment which provides an opportunity for a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in cardiac pacing and arrhythmia management to contribute across both a tertiary metropolitan service (SVHM) and a regional health service (GVH). Key duties: -Provide clinical oversight of pacemaker and cardiac device clinics at both sites: SVHM: 3.5 hours per week GVH: Up to 7 hours per week
Supervise cardiac technologists-scientists and nursing staff in device interrogation and programming of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIED)
Review device data and ensure appropriate clinical management plans
Support complex device troubleshooting and clinical decision-making
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Contribute to quality assurance, safety, and accreditation processes within device services
Your Contribution
Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in Cardiology
AHPRA registration as a medical practitioner with specialist recognition
Demonstrated expertise in cardiac pacing and device management
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
