Finance Manager / Senior Accountant

Our client, a well-established and growing organisation based in Ipswich, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager or Senior Accountant to take ownership of the company's financial operations and play a key role within the leadership team.

About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and providing valuable financial insights to support business decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the company's financial operations
Preparing monthly management reports and financial reporting
Budgeting and forecasting
Cash flow management
Overseeing accounts payable and receivable
Managing payroll processes
Financial analysis and reporting to senior management
Maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation
Working closely with external accountants and auditors
Identifying opportunities to improve financial systems and processes
Supporting the leadership team with commercial and strategic decision-making
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or Senior Accountant
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and management accounting
Excellent organisational and analytical skills
High attention to detail
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Experience using accounting software (ERP experience highly regarded)
CPA or CA qualifications (or working towards them) will be highly regarded
