Press Brake Operator
to join our manufacturing team. This is a
full-time position
based in
Caringbah, NSW
. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machinery to produce precision metal components. You will play a crucial part in our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products meet our high quality standards and are delivered on time to our clients. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting‐edge machinery and contribute directly to the success of a dynamic manufacturing business.
What you'll be doing
Operating press brake machinery to bend and form metal sheets and plates according to specifications and technical drawings
Setting up the press brake with appropriate tooling, dies and parameters for each job
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and work instructions accurately
Measuring and inspecting completed components to ensure they meet quality standards and dimensional tolerances
Monitoring machinery during operation to identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions
Performing routine maintenance tasks and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Recording production data and completing necessary documentation accurately
Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve problems
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting ways to enhance efficiency and safety
What we're looking for
Proven experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing environment
Robust knowledge of metal bending techniques, tooling systems and die selection
Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications




Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
Sound understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing setting
Basic mathematical skills for calculating angles, measurements and tolerances
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliability and punctuality
Relevant qualifications in machine operation or manufacturing (such as a Certificate III in Engineering or Machine Operating) are advantageous
Experience with hydraulic and electric press brakes is preferred
Familiarity with CAM software and CNC programming would be beneficial
