My Way Up

Gold Coast

You'll write the test plan, build the pages, read the results, and ship the winners. If you're looking for a role where you manage an agency and present their numbers upward, this isn't it — and we'd rather say so now than in your second interview.
My Way Up is a Gold Coast gut health company. We sell supplements, and we run shotgun metagenomic testing — we sequence customers' gut bacteria in a lab and give them back a real read on what's in there. It's a genuinely interesting business to optimise, because the products need explaining and the customers do their research.
What you'd own
Site performance across Australia + US Shopify
The CRO programme end to end: hypothesis, build, analysis, rollout
Product pages — building them, improving them, keeping them converting
Offers and promotional mechanics, and the landing pages that carry them
Subscriptions — the on-site half. The subscribe-versus-one-time decision, PDP framing, cart offer, and the customer portal experience. Retention comms sit with our email and SMS lead, so you'll work closely with them.
Site analytics, the dashboards, and the weekly trading number
Technical site health — speed, Core Web Vitals, anything that touches conversion
What you'd need to know before you take it seriously
Traffic. We do roughly 300,000 sessions a month and 20,000 orders. That's enough to reach significance on AOV and CPA in about 1-2 weeks per test. We're telling you upfront because we know it's the first thing you'll want to work out.
Dev. We work with an dev agency and you'll brief and work with them.
Decisions. Founder-owned, small team. Things ship in days, not review cycles.

One thing that makes this different from most e-comm roles
Almost everything we sell is a listed medicine or a regulated food. That means your product pages, pop-ups, offer copy and the way customer reviews display are all regulated advertising — a claim on a PDP is held to the same standard as a claim in a TV ad.
Practically, it means you can't just write the highest-converting headline and ship it. You'll have a claims reference and a sign-off path, and you'll be the last person to touch a page before it goes live.
Most people find that a constraint. The good ones find it compelling — the brands that win in regulated categories are the ones that got good at converting inside the rules rather than around them.
What we're looking for
Three or more years running e-commerce, hands-on, ideally on Shopify
A real testing track record — you can talk about tests you got wrong as easily as ones you got right
Comfort with statistics. You know what your sample size needs to be and you don't call a winner on day three
Subscription experience, or a clear grasp of why the on-site subscribe decision matters more than the discount attached to it
You can build a page yourself. Not a developer, but not helpless without one.
Nice to have
Supplements, health, food or another regulated category
A second market — US especially
Klaviyo, and an opinion about it
What's on offer
Gold Coast, with flexibility on how you structure your week
Real scale without the layers — your work goes live
A business where conversion improvements go straight to the bottom line, which makes it a much easier role to argue for budget in
