Great chance to work with a well‐established and reputable civil contractor on a $100m+ project. Ideally the person would have 2+ years of solid FRP experience across civils and/or structures.
Our client is a well‐established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for an experienced and dedicated
Project Engineer
to join their growing business.
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a challenging projects.
The site is based in Morwell region and the candidate can either live locally to the site or on a drive in / drive out basis with the company funding accommodation etc. 5:2 roster.
Previous experience across FRP, concrete and complex steel is ideal.
The candidate will fulfil civil site coordination duties to support the design and delivery of diversified and integrated work programmes on time, on budget and without incident.
Scope includes mobile concrete batch plant and foundations with a large amount of concrete poured and a large amount of steel reinforcement.
Years of experience:
3 to 8 years + experience
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working on tenders
Planning and scheduling of construction activities
Management of site project teams
Quality Assurance, Cost and Time Management
Preparation of management reports
Resolving site issues in a timely manner
Liaising with key clients and stakeholders
Coordinating internal and external resources
Business development
Recruitment and mentoring of teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
3 – 8+ years' management experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
Project management qualifications will be advantageous
Proven understanding of construction with a hands‐on approach
Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
Effective problem solving abilities
Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations
High level of organisation and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
