What you will do
As budget and finance analyst, you will provide financial analysis and advice that supports important government decisions.
You will work with a skilled team to improve budget planning, policy advice and financial management across the department.
You will:
support
budget
planning and provide
clear
financial advice
complete
complex
financial analysis for budget bids, cabinet submissions and policy proposals
prepare
high-quality
briefs that help leaders make
timely
decisions
identify
practical
improvements and help solve financial and policy issues
support
continuous
improvement projects across finance and the department.
About you
A qualification in policy, strategy or finance is desirable. You should have experience in public sector policy and financial management.
You should also have:
strong
analytical and research skills to solve
complex
problems
sound
knowledge of financial and budget management
the ability to work
well
with others and adapt to changing priorities
a
clear
focus on inclusion, improvement and better outcomes.
