What you'll be doing as a Registered Midwife (RM)
As a Registered Midwife, you will providecomprehensive, woman‐centred midwifery carewithin a continuity of care model, working to your full scope of practice and forming meaningful relationships with women and families.
You will:
Deliverall aspects of midwifery careacross pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period
Act as a strongadvocate for women and families, ensuring care is respectful and individualised




Provide care that recognises thephysical, emotional, social and spiritual needsof each woman
Practice in asafe, efficient and patient‐focused manner
Work collaboratively within your MGP team to achieveoptimal outcomes for women and babies
Build trusted relationships throughcontinuity of care
About you
You are passionate about continuity of care and aligned with Mater's values.
To be successful, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Midwife
Recent experience across antenatal care, birth suite and postnatal services
A strong commitment to woman‐centred, culturally safe care
Evidence of ongoing professional developmentThe ability to role model Mater values in everyday practice
Experience in a continuity of care model is desirable but not essential—support and development will be provided
