Workforce Extensions Geelong is recruiting on behalf of one of Australia's leading food manufacturing businesses, operating one of the country's largest lamb processing facilities based in Colac.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and working across a diverse range of production equipment in a large manufacturing environment.
Working Sunday to Thursday, you'll join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a high-volume processing facility operating efficiently throughout the night.

About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
Responding to machinery breakdowns
Preventative and scheduled maintenance




Fault finding across production equipment
Machinery setup and adjustments
Fabrication and welding (Oxy, Arc & TIG)
Pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance
Recording maintenance activities
Assisting with continuous improvement and maintenance projects
Working safely within food manufacturing standards
Experience within food manufacturing or the meat processing industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.
About you
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or similar
Experience maintaining manufacturing or processing equipment
Strong fault-finding ability
Welding and fabrication experience
Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
Ability to work independently on night shift
Strong commitment to workplace safety
