The Opportunity
Our Industrial team brings together experienced engineers and project managers with a strongtrack recordof delivering complex, high-quality projects. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced
Design Manager
to lead multi-disciplinary design delivery and work closely with clients across major industrial projects.
In this role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of design phases across a portfolio of light and heavy industrial projects. Working alongside clients, project managers, and technical leads,you'llensure design outcomes are integrated, robust, and aligned with projectobjectives.
You will:
Leadand coordinatemulti-disciplinary design teams acrossconcept, preliminary, detaileddesignandconstruction stages
Managedesign programs, budgets, risks, internal and externalinterfacesand quality processes
Providetechnical guidance and drive decision making throughout all stages of design
Facilitatedesign workshops, peerreviewsand design assurance activities
Support bids and proposals, including defining design strategiesandmethodology
Contributeto the growth and capability development ofBeca'sIndustrialdesignteam
About You
You are a degree-qualified Process,



Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with experience in sectors such as food and beverage, manufacturing, mining,metalsprocessing, chemicals, or sustainable fuels. You bring robust technicalexpertiseand a proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary design delivery on complex projects.
You are collaborative,solutions-focused, and confident working across a range of stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.You'llalso bring:
Proven experience as a Design Manager, Design Lead, or similar role on multi-disciplinary engineering projects
Strong understanding of engineering design processes, inter-disciplinary coordination, problem-solving, design assurance, and quality management
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to navigate complex interfaces across disciplines, contractors, and clients
Strongrelationship building skills, andabilityto understandand translateour client'srequirements into project deliverables
Apassion for coachingand mentoringjuniorteam members
