The role
As part of our Engineering and Sustainment Services group, the
Project Controller
will monitor and control project cost and schedule for the assigned Control Accounts across a portfolio of tasking statements. For Control Accounts, you will support the establishment and maintenance of Performance Measurement Baselines (PMB), coordinate monthly analysis and reporting activities, and ensure adherence to the project's earned value management framework.
Further, the successful candidate will:
Assist with the development and maintenance of the tasking statement work breakdown structure (TSWBS) and associated WBS Dictionaries
Assist with the establishment and maintenance of approved cost and schedule PMB including the incorporation of approved baseline changes
Assist with the development and maintenance of control account structures and associates responsibility assignment matrices (RAM)
Support Control Account Managers (CAMs) in establishing detailed planning for all work packages including the assisting with the development of Control Account Plans (CAP)
Develop and resource load schedules in accordance with processes, standards, guidelines, health checks and code structures
Work with PMs and CAMs to capture actuals, status, estimates to complete (ETC) in accordance with the business rhythm
Under direction and guidance, provide support to Comprehensive Estimate at Completions (CEAC) including supporting CAMs in preparing their inputs and consolidation of program-wide data
Assist with the delivery of EVM project reporting and analysis data to the project on a monthly basis
Provide support to Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) surveillance reviews as directed
Execute schedule and EVM activities across all Tasking Statements, ensuring reporting is executed efficiently and effectively.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight and part time (0.8 FTE minimum) will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
Three plus years working in project controls
A degree in project management,
business, commercial or engineering and/or a post graduate qualification in project management (desirable)
Working within a project-orientated organisation (desirable)
Detailed understanding of project management methodologies and principles of project planning, scheduling and project controls
Exposure to Earned Value Management practices or techniquesli>Working in a defence acquisition environment (desirable)
A team-centric and proactive mindset
Solid writing and verbal communication
Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint capability
Using project management software such as Open Plan Professional (OPP) and Cobra.
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold or have the ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
