What's the role?
We are looking for experienced, locally-based Stevedores to join the Qube team in Port Hedland at the Eastern Harbour Ports.
Specific duties for this role include working to load & unload general and bulk cargoes, shipboard and wharf duties and basic clerical tasks across a number of shifts.
Our operations specialise in loading and unloading general and bulk cargoes.
Types of commodities handled include bulker bags, steel products, livestock, project cargo, bulk cargo (including spodumene & copper concentrates) and R&D; Services.
Successful applicants must be prepared to work irregular shift patterns within a 24/7 roster and sometimes at short notice.
This position is only available for LOCALLY-BASED applicants.

To be successful for this role, it is essential that candidates have:
Current Australian Drivers Licence




High Risk Work Licence incl.
forklift, dogging, rigging & crane certifications- essential
Hold current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)– or ability to obtain
Current Working at Heights ticket– or ability to obtain
National Police Clearance –dated within last 6 months of application
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other operators
Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices
Good knowledge of load restraint guidelines & positive mechanical aptitude
Versatile and adaptable, with the ability to work in a demanding operational environment
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, with a proactive approach
