We are seeking
Casual Medical Laboratory Scientists
to join our dedicated
Cytology team in Victoria
, working in office at either our
Clayton or Coburg laboratory.
In this role, you will participate in the routine screening of Liquid-Based Cytology (LBC) cervical screening specimens as part of the National Cervical Screening Program (NCSP). You may also be involved in the screening of non-gynaecological and FNA specimens, depending on qualifications and experience. Working within a collaborative and quality focused laboratory environment, you will contribute to the provision of accurate and timely diagnostic services while maintaining compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
The successful applicant will be flexible, reliable, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate initiative while working both independently and as part of a team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor of Applied Science (Laboratory Science/Laboratory Medicine) or an AIMS-accredited equivalent qualification, with a major in Anatomical Pathology (Cytology/Histology)
CT(ASC) Gynaecological certification (essential)
CT(ASC) Non-Gynaecological certification (desirable)
Demonstrated experience in the screening of LBC cervical screening specimens
Experience in non-gynaecological cytology and FNA screening (desirable)
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and ongoing professional development
