An established structural and architectural steel fabricator in Melbourne's west is looking for an HC Truck Driver to join their team, delivering fabricated steel from their production facility to project sites — genuine ongoing work, direct employment from day one.

Casual, direct employment with the client from day one — genuine ongoing work
6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday to Friday schedule
Regular overtime — 10-hour days are common

What you'll be doing:
Safely and efficiently operate HC vehicle, delivering fabricated structural steel from the production facility to project sites across Melbourne
Secure heavy and oversized steel loads properly before every departure
Carry out pre-start and load checks, keep the vehicle roadworthy
Coordinate with dispatch and site contacts to ensure smooth,
protected loading and unloading, including under gantry cranes and by forklift
Maintain accurate delivery records and follow all site sign-in and safety procedures
Comply fully with WHS requirements, load restraint standards and road transport regulations
To be considered for this role:
Current HC licence with a clean or near-clean driving record
Demonstrated experience transporting structural steel is essential
Proven ability to restrain steel loads correctly and safely
Reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to WHS
Physically capable of hands-on work, including load restraint and assisting with loading/unloading
Experience with gantry crane/forklift loading, and a White Card or dogging/rigging ticket, highly regarded
