About the role:
As a Surgical Nurse at QVS, you will deliver highlevel perioperative care across a variety of complex surgical cases. Your role includes surgical preparation,maintainingsterile technique,monitoringanaesthesia, managingpost‐operativepain and recovery, and supporting advanced diagnostic procedures to ensure safe, smooth patient outcomes. Working alongside a specialist surgical and anaesthesia team,you'llgrow your skills in advanced techniques while contributing to a collaborative, supportive environment committed to excellence in patient care.On call requirements following suitable training and development.
Responsibilities
Receive dedicated mentorship as you transition into specialist surgical nursing, withstrong supportto grow from GP nursing into advanced practice
Work across a broad range of challenging andhigh‐riskanaesthesia cases, developing confidence and capability in complex patient care
Contribute to a varied and rewarding caseload, supported by a skilled, collaborative team that values yourexpertiseand contributions




Build advanced anaesthetic skills, including arterial lines, advanced CRIs, nerve blocks and comprehensive critical monitoring

Requirements of the Role
Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology.
At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in Veterinary Nursing.General Practice nurses welcome to apply! Our team of highly trained nurses and technicians are passionate about teaching.
