Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Consultant to design, implement, and support modern SharePoint solutions that enhance collaboration, document management, and business processes across the organisation.
This role will work closely with stakeholders to deliver user-friendly, well-governed SharePoint environments while integrating with the broader Microsoft 365 and Power Platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
SharePoint Solution Design & Implementation
Design and implement SharePoint Online solutions, including:Communication sites
Team sites
Intranets and document management systems
Configure and customise SharePoint using:Lists and libraries
Content types and metadata
Permissions and security models
Deliver scalable solutions aligned with information architecture and governance standards
Document & Information Management
Design and implement document management frameworks, including:Metadata structures
Version control and retention policies
Support compliance and governance requirements (records management, auditability)
Optimise information architecture for searchability and usability
Automation & Integration
Work with Power Platform tools to extend SharePoint functionality, including Power Automate workflows and Power Apps forms and interfaces
Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 services and third-party systems
Support migration from file shares or legacy systems into SharePoint Online
Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery
Engage with business stakeholders to:Gather and define requirements
Translate needs into practical SharePoint solutions
Deliver training and support to end users
Drive adoption and best practices across the business
Governance & Best Practice
Establish and maintain SharePoint governance frameworks, including:Site provisioning standards
Naming conventions
Security and access controls




Promote best practices in collaboration, document management, and content lifecycle
Support ongoing optimisation and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
Strong experience with SharePoint Online (Modern Experience)
Experience designing intranets and document management solutions
Understanding of information architecture and metadata and taxonomy design
Experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange
Experience using Power Automate and/or Power Apps to enhance SharePoint
Robust stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills
Highly Desirable
Experience with:SharePoint migrations (file shares, legacy platforms)
Records management and compliance frameworks
Exposure to Dynamics 365 or similar SaaS platforms, with the ability to integrate or align SharePoint solutions
Familiarity with Power BI integration with SharePoint, Azure or broader Microsoft cloud services
Soft Skills & Attributes

Ability to simplify complex systems for end users
High attention to detail, particularly around governance and structure
Proactive and collaborative approach
Qualifications & Certifications
Degree in IT, Business, or related field (preferred)
Microsoft certifications highly regarded, such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900), SharePoint or Modern Workplace certifications
Power Platform certifications are a bonus
