We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join the team at Specialists On Derby.
This is acasual positionbased inKingswood NSW ****.
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our reception area.
This role is fundamental to creating a welcoming workplace and maintaining the efficient flow of our medical practice.
What you'll be doing
Greeting patients as they arrive and ensuring they feel welcome and valued
Managing patient check-ins, verifications and appointment scheduling
Answering phone calls, directing enquiries and providing information about services
Processing patient registrations and updating patient records accurately
Managing appointment books and confirming upcoming appointments with patients
Handling administrative tasks including filing, photocopying and data entry
Processing payments and handling billing enquiries with professionalism
Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy regulations at all times
Supporting the clinical team with general administrative duties as required
Responding to patient enquiries via phone, email and in person in a timely manner
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administration role




Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients, staff and healthcare professionals
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
Proficiency in using computer systems and medical practice management software
Knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of healthcare privacy requirements
A friendly and empathetic approach to patient care and customer service
Reliability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and administrative tasks
Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one (if applicable)
