Location: While this listing is based in Sydney, SK tes is actively onboarding casual technicians across multiple major metropolitan hubs, including Brisbane (QLD) and Melbourne (VIC).
Job Type: Casual / On-Demand / Shift Work
Salary/Rate: Award Rates Apply (Paid in accordance with the relevant Modern Award) SK tes is actively expanding our on-demand technology workforce roster.
We are seeking motivated Level 1 Desktop Support Technicians for immediate intake into our active casual pool to cover upcoming corporate project surges, shift shortfalls and scheduled technology rollouts.
Upon successfully passing our technical vetting and compliance checks, successful candidates will be placed directly onto our active casual roster for immediate deployment to Walk-Up Kiosks, Tech Bars and corporate client sites across the region.
Main tasks include:
Frontline Support:
Provide 1st level troubleshooting for end-users at walk-up Tech Bars and service desks.
Ticket Management: Gain experience working with Service Desk ticketing systems, including ticket priority management, logging details, and re-directing escalations to L2/L3 support.
Technical Recognition: Conduct basic hardware and network troubleshooting to identify core issues.
IMAC Services (Install, Move, Add, Change):A).
Installation: Configure workstations and laptops with standard desktop images and install standard applications under instruction.
B. ) Move: Manage physical movement of IT assets and test moved assets for reliable connection to the network.
C).
Add: Install standard software and operating systems following documented instructions relating to PC and laptop assets.
D).
Change: Maintain accurate documentation and records of changes performed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Up to 2 years of hands-on experience in a frontline IT support or service desk environment.
Education/Certifications: A university degree in IT/Computer Science, or relevant industry certifications.
Skills: Competency in basic troubleshooting, excellent communication skills for end-user interaction, and a disciplined approach to following technical instructions.
Compliance: Must have full, valid working rights in Australia.
Willingness to undergo basic background and police checks is required for secure corporate environments.
