Abbey Manufacturing Group – Smithfield NSW
As a Material Cutter & Guillotine Operator at Abbey Manufacturing Group Pty Ltd, you'll play a vital role in supporting the production of a range of custom made ring binders, folders, presentation boxes, wallets, pockets and associated products.
This full-time position is based in Smithfield, NSW and involves the operation of cutting equipment to prepare materials for further processing.
What you'll be doing
Cutting and trimming materials such as plastic film, cardboard, paper and cloth using a guillotine and other cutting equipment
Ensuring materials are cut accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements
Training on new machinery and equipment used in cutting and finishing.
Collaborating with the production team to optimise workflows and minimise waste.
Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a material cutter or Polar guillotine operator , ideally within a printing or manufacturing workplace.
Minimum of 6-12 months experience as a material cutter or guillotine operator is required.




Printing or manufacturing industry experience is preferred, however other cutting experience will be considered.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Commitment to safety and quality standards
Must have valid Australian work rights or visa to work in Australia.
