Mater Private Hospital Redland is seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Ward team on aPermanent Part-Time basis ****** hours per week).
In this role, you'll provide high-quality care to a diverse patient cohort across medical and surgical specialties, including orthopaedics, urology, and general surgery.
As part of our collaborative nursing team, you'll have the opportunity to work across a24/7 rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts.
Mater Private Hospital Redland is a growing 60-bed facility offering a wide range of services including orthopaedics, rehabilitation, acute medicine, palliative care, urology, gynaecology, and general and breast surgery.
The hospital features two operating theatres, an endoscopy suite, and a busy Day Procedure Unit, delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Salary range: $***** - $***** per hourplus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!
What you'll be doing
Working within the PCU2 Ward, you'll play a key role in delivering safe, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients
Applying best-practice principles to support quality patient outcomes
Contributing to quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety initiatives
Collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care
Supporting a positive team culture through knowledge sharing, mentorship,
and clinical leadership
Maintaining and enhancing your clinical knowledge and skills through ongoing career development
Demonstrating sound clinical judgement and expertise in the care of surgical patients
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
At least 12 months' experience in an acute hospital setting
Experience in surgical and/or medical nursing (highly regarded)
Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
A commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centred care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive approach to continuous improvement and professional growth
The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
