Gant and Sons Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and experiencedTruck Driverto join our team on afull-time basis.
Based inEdinburgh, SA ****, this role is essential to our operations within the road transport industry.
As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
This position plays a vital role in supporting our company's commitment to reliable logistics services and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Safely operating and manoeuvring large vehicles whilst adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Planning and executing efficient routes to ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers
Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues
Loading and unloading cargo, or supervising the loading process, ensuring goods are secured and protected during transit
Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance
Communicating effectively with dispatch, customers and management regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
Keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained to ensure a professional appearance
Complying with all relevant legislation, including hours of service regulations and vehicle safety standards
Responding professionally to customer inquiries and ensuring a positive brand representation
What we're looking for
Current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driving licence appropriate for the vehicles operated
Proven experience as a Truck Driver in the road transport or logistics industry
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance with legal driving hour requirements
Excellent vehicle maintenance awareness and ability to perform basic troubleshooting




Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines
Reliable communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and customers
Professional attitude with a commitment to safety and customer service excellence
Physical capability to perform loading and unloading tasks as required
Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred
Clean driving record and demonstrated commitment to protected driving practices
