ANFE Community Care is seeking a reliable, friendly and motivated Gardener to join our Community Care team.
Working 15 hours per week with a view to increasing hours in coming months.
This is more than a gardening role.
You'll be helping older people remain independent, safe and proud of their homes by maintaining gardens that enhance their wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.
Working across Adelaide, you'll provide gardening and basic property maintenance services to older members of our community while building meaningful relationships with clients who value a friendly face and a helping hand.
Duties include:
Maintain residential gardens for older clients living independently.
Mow lawns, edge, trim and prune shrubs and small trees.
Weed, mulch and tidy garden beds.
Remove green waste and maintain a clean work area.
Undertake basic garden maintenance to minimise safety risks around the home.
Identify and report any hazards or concerns affecting client safety.
Maintain gardening equipment and company vehicle.
About You
You will be someone who enjoys working outdoors and values making a genuine difference in people's lives.
You will have:
Experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance.
A positive, reliable and self-motivated attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work independently and manage your daily schedule.
Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work safely.
An understanding of safe work practices and manual handling.
Essential Requirements
Current Driver's Licence.
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to operate gardening equipment safely.
Desirable
Experience working within aged care, disability or community services.
Knowledge of culturally diverse communities.
