An exciting opportunity exists for a proven Service Technician to join the elite maintenance facility in Rydalmere.
You will be the hands-on expert responsible for the overhaul, repair, and precision testing of critical rail components, ensuring every product meets the highest safety and performance standards.
You will be refurbishing and testing high-tech equipment-including air compressors, brake calipers, and pantographs-utilizing your mechanical expertise to keep Australia's transport networks moving.
Location:Rydalmere, NSW.
Easily accessible with onsite facilities.Hourly Rate:$********* Per Hour + Penalty Rates + SuperShifts Available:Monday - Friday, early starts (5:00 am - 6:30 am) for a great work-life balance.Status:Immediate Start - Ongoing position with a clear pathway to Permanency.

Trade Qualified:A Mechanical Trade certificate, Diploma in Engineering, or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.
Welding Experience:Proficiency in welding is highly preferred (formal welding qualifications are a major plus, but not essential).
Proven Experience:At least 3 years in a workshop or engineering environment focusing on mechanical component repair, testing, and working & handling tools.
Technical Expertise:Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems; experience with air compressors or Rollingstock/Light Automotive is highly regarded.
Compliance Ready:Must hold a valid OH&S; White Card and be able to pass a pre-employment medical (Drug & Alcohol) and Police Check.
High Standards:A keen eye for detail when recording test outcomes and signing off on engineering documentation.
