We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Research Associate to spearhead bio-analytical initiatives, particularly focusing on histology, to aid in the development of our platforms and the validation of therapeutic approaches. What you'll do
Design and execute bio-analytical studies, particularly in histology, to assess the effectiveness, safety, and distribution of innovative nucleic acid therapies.
Provide scientific and technical expertise to support and improve platform development initiatives.
Develop internal capabilities to supplement the work conducted at contract research organizations (CROs).
Present experimental findings clearly through oral presentations, comprehensive written reports, and visually engaging data representations.
Work collaboratively and independently within a multidisciplinary team environment to achieve project goals.
Conduct in-vivo studies, focusing on lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery systems and nucleic acid therapeutics in rodent and non-human primate models.
Utilize ex-vivo analytical methods such as ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR, and FACS to derive meaningful insights from experimental data.
Perform histological tissue analysis, employing techniques such as IHC/IF,
ISH, and H&E;, along with skills in tissue harvesting, embedding, sectioning, staining, imaging, and analysis.
Engage with various disease models in mice and rats to enhance the relevance of research findings.
Execute in-vivo procedures in rodents, including the administration of therapeutics and the collection of biological samples for subsequent analysis.
Apply flow cytometry techniques, including experimental design, execution, and data interpretation, to support research objectives.
Maintain strong communication and interpersonal relationships within the team and across departments to facilitate collaboration.
Requirements
A Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, accompanied by at least 5 years of industry experience; the specific level will be determined based on the candidate's background.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting in-vivo studies, particularly with lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery systems or nucleic acid therapeutics in rodent and non-human primate models.
A solid foundation in ex-vivo analytical techniques, including ELISA, MSD, qPCR, ddPCR, and FACS.
Proficient in histological tissue analysis methods, including IHC/IF, ISH, and H&E;, with hands-on experience in tissue harvesting, embedding, sectioning, staining, imaging,
and analysis.
Familiarity with various disease models in rodent species is a plus.
Experience in performing in-vivo procedures in rodents, including therapeutic administration and biological sample collection for ex-vivo analysis.
Knowledge of flow cytometry principles, including experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with effective interpersonal abilities.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced demands of data generation, analysis, and reporting in in-vivo studies.
Capability to thrive in a rapidly changing biotech landscape.

Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements in preclinical study settings.

Practical notes
The salary range for this role is between $81,000 and $107,250, contingent on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
