We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator/Supervisor to join our construction team at Western Building. This full-time role will be based in our South Melbourne office, with some flexibility for WFH. As an Estimator/Supervisor, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the success of our construction projects by providing expert cost estimations, repair planning, and on-site supervision.

What you'll be doing
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, taking into account materials, labour, equipment, and overhead costs
Collaborate with claim and repair coordinators, site supervisors, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive repair plans and schedules
Provide on-site supervision and leadership to construction teams, ensuring repairs adhere to budgets, timelines, safety and quality standards
Monitor and report on repair progress, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
Assist with the procurement of materials and subcontractor services




Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an Estimator or Estimator/Supervisor in the construction industry (
advantageous
)
Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
Excellent understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques
Strong repair management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace
Proficiency in using construction-specific software and tools, such as estimating software and project management software
Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders
Current full car driver's licence
