What you'll do
Cultivate and maintain enduring relationships with mid-to-large market clients to enhance retention and stimulate growth.
Manage your own portfolio of accounts, which includes overseeing contracts, technology strategies, and the daily operations of accounts.
Analyze and address complex business challenges by leveraging your extensive knowledge of payment systems and the Square platform.
Collaborate with various internal teams, including product development, engineering, finance, legal, and marketing, to advocate for the needs of sellers.
Share insights from your accounts to help shape the product roadmap and influence internal strategic decisions.
Provide mentorship to colleagues and assist in refining account management practices, including segmentation and portfolio strategies.
Work alongside sales teams to onboard new high-value clients, ensuring their ongoing success and satisfaction.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the overall client experience and drive engagement with Square's offerings.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for your clients.
Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders, showcasing the value of Square's solutions and the impact on their business.
Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and provide actionable insights to clients.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, partnerships, sales, or sales engineering,
particularly with technical products.
Proven track record of managing revenue outcomes and navigating complex commercial relationships autonomously.
Experience in gathering client requirements and constructing business cases for product feature development.
Demonstrated success in leading initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders across finance, legal, and go-to-market teams.
Strong ability to influence senior executives both within the organization and externally.
Formal education or training in sales techniques or negotiation strategies.
Willingness to work across various time zones as necessitated by a globally distributed team.
Nice to have
Experience in industries such as Hospitality or Food & Beverage, which can enhance your understanding of client needs.
Familiarity with CRM software and account management tools.
Previous experience in a high-growth technology company.
