EBARA PUMPS AUSTRALIA is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to manage a broad, hands-on finance role covering all aspects of financial accounting, management accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for the Australian business. The successful candidate will work closely with the Japan Head Office and external stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Based in our Australian office of just over 20 employees, this role offers the opportunity to manage the full finance and accounting function within a small, collaborative team, working with Passion and Dedication.

Located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs EBARA PUMPS AUSTRALIA is a well-established company, specialising in the sales, assembly, and supply of pumping & mixing solutions and related equipment for the Water, Energy and Mining sectors that are vital to Australia's economy and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for reporting to the Japan Head Office.
Prepare annual budgets, business plans, and financial forecasts closely working with the managing director.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations.
Prepare and lodge statutory reports with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), including BAS, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and other tax compliance requirements.
Prepare and submit payroll tax and other statutory reports to the relevant State Government authorities.
Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions as part of a collaborative team.
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and the Japan Head Office.
Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation legislation, and internal group policies.
Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.
Key Requirements:
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in financial accounting.
Proven experience working for a multinational company with an overseas head office.
Hands-on experience with ERP system. ( e.g., SAP S/4HANA.)
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Office-based position to build a strong relationship and collaborate with other members.
Ability to work to strict deadline.
CPA or CA qualification.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
