About The Role
The Senior Planner provides expert statutory planning advice to support transport outcomes across Victoria. The role helps ensure DTP meets its planning and referral authority obligations by coordinating planning advice, developing best practice guidance and training, and supporting planning matters before VCAT, Planning Panels and Advisory Committees.
The role also leads planning reforms and process improvements, manages projects and resources to deliver outcomes on time and within budget, and builds strong relationships with key stakeholders including councils, regulators and transport agencies. Other duties may be assigned in line with the employee's skills, capabilities and classification.

Qualifications And Experience
You'll bring:
A qualification in urban planning (mandatory).
Demonstrated Victorian statutory planning experience, ideally gained within local government, state government or a private consultancy workplace.
The ability to work flexibly with stakeholders across metropolitan and regional Victoria, with a willingness to occasionally attend DTP suburban and regional offices; a current driver's licence is desirable.
Pre-employment checks and employment conditions

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.
