You'll deliver work across resources and critical minerals projects, gas, pipeline and upstream development, renewable energy developments (solar, wind, hybrid generation), transmission, grid-scale storage and critical infrastructure, and approvals requiring strategic thinking and tight collaboration with regulators and clients.

The role – What you'll lead
Deliver and coordinate environmental approvals, EIAs, EMPs, audits, monitoring and compliance reporting
Plan, manage and track projects – budgets, scope,



risks, delivery and client communication
Analyse environmental data and identify risks, impacts and mitigation strategies
Translate regulatory requirements into clear advice for clients
Work with internal specialists and external partners for multi-disciplinary outcomes
Take ownership of client relationships, ensuring quality delivery and trusted-advisor service
Contribute to fee proposals, scoping and tender submissions
Support internal quality assurance and elevate our deliverables
Represent Onward in QLD, with opportunity to build your network and shape presence
Mentor junior consultants and step gradually into leadership responsibilities
About you
Degree in environmental science, engineering, planning or related field
5+ years of environmental consulting or approvals experience
Strong knowledge of QLD and Commonwealth approvals pathways (EP Act, EPBC Act etc.)
Confident managing projects, schedules and deliverables
Enjoy direct client contact and can translate technical detail into practical advice
Desire to grow into leadership
Cooperative, curious, pragmatic and keen to influence outcomes
