Randstad is currently working with a Qld Government Department to find a Senior Systems Administrator for an initial contract until EOFY with further 6 months extension.
This role is based in Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility.
Client: Qld Government Department
Contract Length: 2 months initial with a further 6 month extension, and potential of further extension past that point.
Maximum Pay Rate: $****** a day inclusive of superannuation

What You Will Do:
Provide expert third-level support and maintenance for departmental IT infrastructure to ensure reliable and available services.
Coordinate operational maintenance upgrades and enhancements, undertaking change management activities associated with infrastructure provisioning.
Research and resolve complex technical issues, providing feedback to stakeholders to ensure agreed service levels and standards are met.
Contribute to client relationships by performing analysis of infrastructure environments and recommending strategic improvements.




Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, promoting the appropriate use of technologies and continuous improvement of operations.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
Proven experience working as a senior technical resource within an ITIL-based operating environment using tools like ServiceNow.
Strong ability to work with limited supervision while building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Technical proficiency in enterprise infrastructure such as Nutanix Hyper-Converged systems or Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
Expertise in Microsoft environments, including Windows Server ****, RDS, and management tools like SCCM, SCOM, or Entra-ID.
The ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously, adjusting priorities quickly in a fast-paced specialist team environment.
