Our client is delivering a nationally significant Defence capability program focused on next-generation autonomous aerospace technology.
You'll join a collaborative, high-performing team supporting critical Defence capability outcomes within a complex project environment.
About the role
As the Cost & Finance Analyst, you'll provide specialist expertise in financial forecasting, cost estimation, cost modelling and commercial analysis to support a major Defence program.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, you'll help shape financial decision-making, improve reporting capability and ensure strong financial governance across the program.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project forecasts, cost estimates and financial models.
Analyse cost drivers, trends and variances, providing meaningful financial insights.
Support financial management across a complex Defence program.
Provide financial and commercial advice to project teams and senior stakeholders.
Support procurement activities through financial analysis of tenders and proposals.
Ensure compliance with Defence financial frameworks, policies and governance.




Improve financial reporting, modelling tools and processes.
Build strong relationships with Defence and industry stakeholders.

Requirements
Australian Citizenship with a current NV1 Security Clearance (essential).
5+ years' experience in cost estimation, financial modelling or financial forecasting.
Experience within Defence, Government or another complex project environment.
Strong understanding of Defence financial management, costing frameworks and procurement processes.
Advanced Excel skills including financial modelling and forecasting.
Power BI or business intelligence reporting experience is highly regarded.
Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Contract:Initial contract through to 30 June ****
