About the Role
PB Agrifood is seeking an experienced QA/ WHS Officer to join the Toowoomba based team on a permanent full-time basis.
This role is responsible for facilitating compliance with WHS legislation and HACCP requirements in order to maintain accreditation with HACCP/ISO*****.
Reporting to and working closely with the QA/ WHS Manager, this role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and quality-focused workplace.
The successful candidate will support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) systems, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Your key accountabilities in this role would include:
Record and data management and entry;
Maintaining effective document control and file management systems;
Supporting training programs, inductions, and compliance activities relating to WHS, food safety, and quality requirements;
Assisting with incident investigations,



hazard reporting, corrective actions, and the management of non-conformances;
Completing QA testing;
Collecting and recording quality data;
Conducting internal quality and WHS audits to measure and monitor compliance;
Ensuring internal audit follow-ups to non-conformance and assisting with action plans; and
Developing and overseeing the implementation of appropriate procedures and forms.
About You
The QA/ WHS Officer role requires the following skills and experience:
Quality assurance background in a food manufacturing environment (desired but not essential);
Qualifications in HACCP, WHS or Quality Auditing (advantageous);
Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management principles, and workplace compliance requirements (advantageous);
A strong sense of accountability and responsibility;
Commitment to company values and food safety culture;
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
Strong attention to detail, initiative and time management skills;
Ability to work as part of a team, but also autonomously as required;
Proven ability to abide by safe work practices;
Proven ability to follow set work procedures;
Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain); and
Forklift Licence (advantageous).
