The Role
As we expand our offering within the renewables sector we are seeking a high-calibre
Power Systems Engineer
to take complete technical ownership of major utility-scale solar projects.
In this pivotal role, you will lead the power systems scope, drive OEM contract negotiations, and ensure seamless grid integration.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering skilled ready to marry deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Head Contract power systems scope,performance evaluation, and negotiation.
Own technical scoping, system performance,integration, and overall functionality.
Manage OEM contract packages (technical scope, documentation, FAT, grid interaction).
Administer OEM supply contracts, evaluation, and end-to-end vendor management.
Control project finances by implementing corrective measures for OEM budget variances.
Analyse routine project performance and deliver robust back-on-track strategies.
Define rigorous testing and commissioning requirements alongside site teams.
Review and close out complex subject matter expert comments.
Streamline engineering workflows, reviewing and developing new technical processes.
About You
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent tertiary qualification).
Member of, or explicitly eligible for membership with, Engineers Australia.
7+ years of post-graduate engineering experience.
Minimum 3 years dedicated to power systems engineering.
Proven ability to lead, inspire teams,



and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Aptitude for operational budgeting, financial reviews, and business plan development.
Strong working knowledge of OH&S; and Australian employee relations legislation.
