This is a part-time (0.8 EFT), fixed term opportunity until 31 December ****. Salary range aligns to the current MEA: L1.1 - L3.5 $84,618 - $128,887 per annum (dependent on qualifications & experience), plus 12% superannuation.

About the role
As a Teacher within our Faculty of Health, Community & Animals, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment to students pursuing careers in aged care, disability support and related health services. Working across our Box Hill and Lilydale campuses,



you will create engaging learning experiences that combine industry expertise with practical application, supporting students to build the confidence, skills and knowledge required for successful employment in the sector.
What you'll do:
Deliver engaging, industry-current training and assessment in Individual Support, Ageing and Disability programs.
Facilitate learning across classroom, simulation and workplace-based environments.
Develop, review and maintain learning and assessment resources aligned with industry standards and compliance requirements.
Assess student competency and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Support student engagement, progression and success through a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Identify and support students requiring additional assistance to achieve their learning goals.
Contribute to moderation, validation and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain vocational and skilled currency to ensure teaching reflects contemporary industry practice.
About You:
You are a passionate educator or experienced industry professional who is committed to developing a skilled and capable care workforce. You bring current, hands-on experience from the aged care and/or disability support sector, a robust understanding of contemporary industry practices, and a genuine desire to mentor and inspire others. Whether you are already teaching or looking to transition from industry into education, you are excited by the opportunity to share your knowledge and help students build the skills needed to make a meaningful difference in people's lives.
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****)
or a higher-level teaching qualification.
Current and relevant qualifications in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support, Health or a closely related discipline.
Recent industry experience working in aged care and/or disability support
as a Support Worker, Personal Care Assistant, Disability Support Worker, Community Care Worker or similar role.
Strong understanding of current industry practices, person-centred support approaches, compliance requirements, emerging challenges and workforce trends within the aged care and disability sectors.
Passion for sharing your industry knowledge and developing the next generation of care professionals.




Demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles and vocational education practices.
Ability to create engaging, student-centred learning experiences.
Alignment with a child-protected, inclusive and values-based workplace
Have, or be willing to obtain, Victorian Working with Children Check and National Police Check clearance.
