About the role
We are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our growing team in Melbourne CBD This is a full‐time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your taxation and accounting career in a supportive and dynamic environment. As a Junior Accountant, you will play an important role in delivering quality bookkeeping and accounting services to our diverse client base. This position will provide you with exposure to a range of accounting functions and help you build foundational expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and client service.
Key responsibilities
Preparing Income Tax Returns for individuals & business entities
Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry and payment processing
Supporting payroll administration and ensuring accurate employee payment records
Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash flow management
Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards




Liaising with clients to gather financial information and respond to routine enquiries
Supporting senior accountants on projects as required
What we're looking for
A relevant accounting qualification or diploma (or equivalent in progress), such as a Certificate IV in Accounting or Associate Degree in Accounting
Competency in accounting software, including familiarity with Xero or similar platforms
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record‐keeping
A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and accounting concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
Reliability and a commitment to meeting deadlines
A willingness to learn and develop your accounting knowledge
Experience with other accounting software or exposure to tax compliance would be advantageous
