We are seeking a full Time Gantry Crane operator to work Day shift in a busy precast panel manufacturing facility based in Dandenong
The ideal candidate will be required to have experience in a similar role, operating a 3 movement or less, remote controlled, overhead gantry crane, and working within a precast manufacturing setting.
Monday to Friday with the potential for some O/T throughout the week. It is expected that you will be reliable, hardworking and have a strong commitment to working safely.
To be successful in this role you will require the following licenses, skills and attributes:
A Bridge and Gantry Crane Operators License
Must be able to work autonomously as well as work well within a team
Experience in Precast manufacturing and loading trucks.
Have a can-do approach and an excellent work ethic
Be willing to assist the other precast workers where required and carry out labour intensive works
Be willing to complete a medical including a drug and Alcohol test.
Having a High-Risk Forklift License will be an advantage




Key Responsibilities & accountability
Coordinating tools, equipment and materials each day
Working closely with transport manager to ensure smooth panel installation
Truck loading operations for precast concrete panel installation safely, accurately & efficiently
Coordinate daily lifting activities with crane operators and site supervisors
Ensure all lifts are carried out safely and in line with lift plans and SWMS
Read and interpret drawings, rigging plans, set out, and specifications
Maintain and inspect rigging equipment
Maintaining high safety standards and compliance at all times
Managing site logistics and sequencing to minimize downtime
Identify and manage risks in real-time in office
