Our client is a leading food manufacturer specialising in the production of high quality frozen dumplings and Asian style food products. Supplying major retailers, wholesalers, and food service customers across Australia, they operate a up-to-date food manufacturing facility focused on quality, food safety, and efficient production.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced Machine Operators to join their production team.
About the Role
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring food production machinery to ensure the efficient manufacture of frozen dumplings while maintaining strict food safety, quality, and production standards. This role is ideal for candidates with previous food manufacturing or machine operating experience who are looking to secure a permanent position after a successful probation period.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation
Operate and monitor automated food processing and packaging machinery.
Set up machinery for production runs and complete product changeovers.
Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
Identify and report equipment faults or production issues.
Work towards daily production targets while maintaining product quality.
Production Duties
Load ingredients and packaging materials into production equipment.
Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Perform manual handling of ingredients and finished products up to 20kg.
Assist with packing, palletising, and general production duties when required.
Quality & Food Safety
Follow all HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures.
Complete production documentation accurately.
Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
Maintain traceability and production records.
Cleaning & Hygiene
Clean production equipment and workstations between production runs.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
Follow strict hygiene and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination.
Skills & Experience
Previous machine operating experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Experience working to production targets and quality standards.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify basic machine faults.
Comfortable performing repetitive manual handling up to 20kg.
Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety practices is highly regarded.
Reliable, punctual, and committed to workplace safety.
