About the role The Web & App Coordinator position is crucial for managing the digital presence of the Minnesota Wild, a professional ice hockey team based in Minnesota. This role is centered around ensuring that the team's website and mobile applications are not only up-to-date but also engaging for fans. By implementing effective digital strategies, the coordinator will enhance fan interaction and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the organization.

What you'll do
Oversee the continuous management and updating of the Minnesota Wild's official website and mobile applications, ensuring that all content is accurate and aligns with the team's branding.
Collaborate with various internal departments, including marketing, sales, and communications, to produce engaging digital content that resonates with fans and aligns with the organization's business goals.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance user experience on digital platforms, ensuring easy navigation and accessibility for all users.
Monitor and analyze website and app performance metrics, using insights to inform content updates and digital marketing strategies.
Create and curate multimedia content, including articles, videos, and graphics, to keep fans informed and entertained.
Manage social media accounts, crafting posts that drive engagement and promote upcoming events, games,



and promotions.
Assist in the execution of digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing and online promotions, to boost ticket sales and merchandise revenue.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve the digital presence of the Minnesota Wild.
Coordinate with external vendors and partners for digital projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
Provide support during home games and special events, capturing live content and engaging with fans through digital channels.
Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices for digital content creation and management.
Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to the overall marketing strategy of the organization.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field is required.
At least 2 years of experience in digital content management or a comparable position is essential.
Proficiency in web content management systems, along with a basic understanding of HTML, is necessary for this role.




A solid grasp of social media platforms and digital marketing techniques is crucial for driving engagement.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required to effectively convey messages to fans and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential for success in this role.
Nice to have
Familiarity with analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to assess and report on digital performance metrics would be beneficial.
Experience with graphic design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, is a plus and can enhance content creation efforts.
Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices to improve content visibility on search engines is advantageous.
Previous experience in the sports industry or with a professional sports team can provide valuable insights into fan engagement strategies.
A passion for hockey and an understanding of the Minnesota Wild's brand and culture will enhance the effectiveness of the role.
