2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentices
2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprentice
Build your skills. Build your career. Help build Aspired Electrical.
At Aspired Electrical, we believe apprentices learn best when they are given clear expectations, practical experience, strong support and the opportunity to take real responsibility as their skills develop.
We are looking for 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year Electrical Apprentices who want more than simply completing their time.
We are looking for people who want to become great electricians.
People who ask questions, take feedback, care about the quality of their work and want to learn from experienced tradespeople.
If you are motivated, reliable and ready to step up, keep reading.
Why Aspired Electrical?
We have built our reputation the old-fashioned way.
By doing what we say we will do.
Turning up.
Solving problems.
Backing our team.
Our clients trust us because we are easy to work with and consistently deliver. Our people enjoy working here because we have built a culture based on respect, accountability and helping each other succeed.
As we continue to grow across Melbourne, we are investing in our people and creating genuine opportunities for apprentices who want to build long-term careers.
We are not interested in becoming the biggest contractor.
We are focused on becoming one of the best places to learn, work and grow.
The Opportunity
You will work across a range of commercial and construction projects throughout Melbourne.
You will learn alongside experienced A-Grade Electricians who are expected to lead, coach and help you improve.
This is not a role where you will spend your apprenticeship doing the same basic tasks every day.
As your capability grows, so will your responsibility.
You will be supported to develop your technical skills, improve your confidence and understand what it takes to deliver projects properly.
You will also be expected to bring the right attitude,
take ownership of your development and contribute positively to the team.
What You Will Be Doing
Depending on your year level and experience, you will be involved in:
Assisting with commercial electrical installations
Reading and interpreting plans and project requirements
Running cable, fitting off and completing installation work
Supporting testing, commissioning and fault finding
Learning how to complete work safely, efficiently and professionally
Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas
Completing required paperwork and job documentation
Working closely with A-Grade Electricians and Project Leads
Asking questions and applying feedback
Identifying issues early and raising them with the team
Supporting the delivery of projects on time and to a high standard
Building your understanding of quality, safety and commercial project delivery
As you progress through your apprenticeship, you will be expected to take on more responsibility and work with greater independence.
You Will Fit In Here If...
You turn up ready to work.
You listen and learn.
You ask questions when you are unsure.
You take feedback without making excuses.
You care about the quality of your work.
You look after your tools, the site and the people around you.
You communicate early when something is not right.
You understand that becoming a great electrician takes effort, consistency and the right attitude.
You Will Probably Love This Role If...
You want to learn from experienced electricians who take pride in their work.
You enjoy being challenged and improving your skills.
You want exposure to quality commercial and construction projects.
You want more responsibility as your capability grows.
You like working with people who support each other.
You want to complete your apprenticeship with strong technical skills and good work habits.
You want the opportunity to build a long‐term career with a growing business.
This Role Is Not For Everyone
This probably is not the right role if you:
Need to be constantly reminded to complete basic tasks
Avoid asking questions and then guess
Do not take feedback well
Are regularly late or unreliable
Cut corners when no one is watching
Leave your tools or work area for someone else to sort out
Only want to do the easiest jobs
Expect progression without putting in the effort
What You Will Bring
We are less interested in whether you know everything already.
You are an apprentice. You are here to learn.
We are much more interested in your attitude, reliability and willingness to improve.
You will need:
To be currently completing a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Electrical Apprenticeship
A robust work ethic
A willingness to listen, learn and take feedback
A commitment to safety and quality
A reliable and professional approach
The ability to work well as part of a team
A genuine interest in building a long‐term career as an electrician
Commercial or construction experience will be highly regarded.
What You Will Enjoy
Competitive apprentice wages, plus superannuation
Overtime opportunities where available
Exposure to diverse commercial and construction projects
Support from experienced A-Grade Electricians
Structured on-the-job learning and development
Increasing responsibility as your skills grow
A supportive and approachable leadership team
A culture built on trust, respect and accountability
The opportunity to complete your apprenticeship and continue your career with Aspired Electrical
A team that wants you to become a great electrician, not simply finish your time
