About the role:
We're looking for a Payroll Officer to join our small, close-knit team in Ringwood and help ensure our 100-strong workforce is paid accurately and on time. This 20-hour-per-week role would suit someone looking to return to the workforce.
What you'll do:
Process payroll: collect and review hours, calculate wages, entitlements and deductions
Ensuring payroll processes aligned with workplace legislation and EV policies
Employee Support-responding to people's enquiries regarding their salaries and entitlements
Preparing payroll reports, distributing payment statements and collaborating with finance or HR for audits and reconciliations
Improve our systems: stay across payroll regulation changes and suggest better ways of working
What you'll bring:
A Diploma or Certificate IV in Payroll, with at least 3 years' payroll experience
Demonstrated experience applying the VECTEA award (essential)
Experience with SCHADS and/or Clerks awards (highly regarded)
Confidence with payroll software: ELMO experience is a strong advantage
Strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail
A solid understanding of privacy legislation, tax and salary packaging rules
Friendly and supportive, assisting staff with payroll questions
