Assistant Educator – Visual Arts
Kids Art Fun Pty Ltd is seeking enthusiastic individuals who are looking to build a meaningful career in visual arts education.
This position begins as a casual Assistant Educator with approximately one school term of paid training through the Kids Art Fun Academy. During this time, you will learn our teaching philosophy, classroom practices, child engagement, studio procedures, and visual arts curriculum while working alongside experienced educators.
Our goal is to develop outstanding visual arts educators through structured training, mentoring, and professional growth. We are committed to developing professional educators who are passionate about creativity, lifelong learning, and making a meaningful difference in children's lives.
As your knowledge, skills, and confidence grow, opportunities are available to progress to Educator and Senior Educator roles.
Responsibilities
Assist with preparing the studio and art materials
Support children during visual arts classes
Encourage creativity, confidence and positive learning experiences
Assist with classroom organisation and safety
Help with setup and pack down before and after classes
Participate in ongoing training and professional development




Learn and deliver the Kids Art Fun teaching methodology
We're looking for someone who:

Has an interest in visual arts and creativity
Is reliable, organised and professional
Communicates warmly and respectfully
Is willing to learn and receive feedbackWorks well within a team
Is seeking long term skilled growth
Requirements
Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one
Reliable transport to Chapel Hill
Previous experience with children or visual arts is welcomed but not essential
